About qartine

qartine started from one simple conviction: a small restaurant should be able to put its menu online in minutes, in every guest's language, without depending on anyone and without giving away its margin.

Our mission

We help independent restaurants build a trilingual QR menu — French, Dutch, English — and publish it themselves, live, with no card to start. No sales call, no installation, no two-year contract: you compose your menu, you generate your QR code, and your guests scan. Everything is designed so a busy owner can manage on their own, between two services, and keep control of every detail — the prices, the photos, the languages, the moment a dish drops off the card.

Why qartine exists

We kept seeing the same problem everywhere. Paper menus are expensive to reprint the moment a price changes or a dish runs out — and a stale menu shows. Across Belgium, France and the Netherlands, a large share of guests can't read the language the menu is written in, and translating by hand is an endless chore. And generic tools — QR generators, website builders — know nothing about allergens, table ordering or the rhythm of a Friday-night service. qartine fills that gap: a tool made for restaurants, not a gadget hacked together to merely look like a menu.

Who it's for

qartine is for independent venues — the kind where the owner is often also in the kitchen or on the floor:

  • Neighbourhood restaurants and bistros that want an always-current menu without another trip to the printer.
  • Food trucks and takeaway counters that change their menu and their pitch often.
  • Cafés and brasseries in tourist areas, where every table speaks a different language.

qartine is built for the Belgian, French and Dutch market — trilingual by construction, not as a paid add-on.

What makes us different

  • Trilingual FR · NL · EN from the start, translated in one click — language is never a paid extra.
  • Allergens and legal INCO information built in, ticked per dish and always current.
  • Table and takeaway ordering, with no commission taken on each transaction.
  • Fully self-serve: you create, publish and edit everything yourself, whenever you want.

What we believe

We build qartine around a few non-negotiable principles. No lock-in: your data is yours, you export it and you leave whenever you decide. Honest pricing, clearly shown, with no hidden fees and no commission nibbling at your margins. And respect for privacy: we measure only what's strictly necessary, in line with the GDPR, because a menu doesn't need to track your guests to do its job well.

Behind qartine is a team that believes a good tool stays out of the way: it lets you do your craft — welcoming people and feeding them well — and takes care of the rest.
